We design (extraordinary) places for (extraordinary) people.

Studio BIID is a Zagreb-based architectural and urban design studio founded by architect Ines Balić and Isidora Djurakić. Our background in architecture and urban design helps us greatly in creating spaces that define environment we live in. As a team we are dedicated to architecture that responds to people, societies and communities. Designing with responsibility towards peoples needs, socio-cultural needs and environmental context, we create solutions that are personal, experiential and inspiring. We, at BIID, strive to create environments and spaces that enhance the human experience.

ARCHITECTURE

Our philosophy is centered around creativity, originality, functionality and technology. Our mission is to enrich the identity of the built environment and design with social purpose while integrating innovation, research, sustainability and resilience. At the core, our projects are results of careful analysis, developing strong briefs, communication and extraordinary ideas.

Our aim and motivation is to turn clients aspirations and ambitions into reality while immersing ourselves to meet their needs and transform them into spaces of inspiration and belonging. We create timeless, connective and innovative designs where creativity and sophistication blend together. Fusing our high standards, passion, precision and care for details, we curate unique, empowering and harmonious environments.

URBAN DESIGN

We look for innovative solutions to solve complex urban challenges that cities face nowadays. Our aim is to create a balance and harmony between built and natural environment while encompassing architecture, landscape, policy and culture in order to design tailored urban designs. Inspired by what makes each place and community distinctive, we respond to local context with a holistic approach.

TEAM

Ines Balić

Ines got her Master of Science degree in Architecture and Urban design from Politecnico di Milano in 2021 and completed her Bachelor degree in Architecture in Prague. She also holds a Master degree in Economics from University of Zagreb. Apart from her love for architecture and cities, she is passionate about everything adrenaline related including airplanes and horse riding.

Isidora Djurakić

Isidora graduated from Politecnico di Milano in 2021 with Master of Science degree in Architecture and Urban Design and obtained her Bachelor degree in Architecture in Oxford. She worked in international architectural companies in London, Vienna, Dubai and Shenzhen before co-founding Studio BIID. Always organized, still a nerd with passion for fashion, art, travel and food.
